WHY GIVE UP SO MUCH SPACE FOR CONSULTATION ROOMS?

The very first store we opened was a small one, it was created to allow me to see if this company would be a viable business. In that first store I created a consultation room where people could meet the animals they intended to take home. They could visit for long periods of time and they could LEARN about them. Learn about their needs, learn about their proper enclosures set ups to provide proper enrichment. Learn about proper amount of out of cage time, learn about being a successful Aviculturist.

In the new store we set up three nice sized zones. Two for consultation, one for visitation; as consultation and visitation are two different functions of what we offer here. Visitation is for people who’s birds aren’t ready to go home yet and consultation is for people who’s are needing to learn and explore. We use consultation rooms for behavioral training, we use them to get people safe confidential spaces to meet multiple birds. These spaces are the key to the true seceret to EPBI’s success.

In recent years we expanded to reptiles and amphibians and we copy and pasted the set up- consultation and visitation for those friends too. They get their own visitation because we do things differently here. Just like birds can’t go home till we are confident they are ready to thrive in our clients homes our reptiles are given the same treatment. Did you know we don’t let baby bearded dragons go home until they are sustaining life and capable of success for a while just like the birds? Same with baby leopard geckos. Our crazy cool Axolotls aren’t allowed to go home without a proper set up. We keep them all here and allow people to visit them till they can take over with the proper set up. This sets our friends up for success.

The amount of free education we give here is something that most people just don’t get anywhere. It’s because to us, the focus will always be on making you a better owner of your pet. Helping you provide the very best opportunities for your pet. We don’t judge people here, we don’t criticize. We partner with you and strategize. That is the way to provide the best long-term lives for the animals we raise. It’s our strongest belief that if we make well-educated and well-equipped owners, our pets are going to thrive and our clients are going to enjoy the experience tenfold and want to support this company that much more.
As you’ve heard by now, we are named one of America’s coolest pet businesses. If I had to pick one thing that I believe makes us the coolest, it would be our strongest belief in educating our clients!
