Internship Program at Exotic Pet Birds Inc.

At Exotic Pet Birds Inc., we are proud to offer a meaningful internship program that supports our local community while helping individuals gain valuable job training and workplace skills. Our goal is to create a positive, hands-on environment where interns can grow, learn, and build the confidence needed to succeed in a professional setting.

We partner with a variety of respected organizations to provide internships across our community. These partnerships allow job coaches to bring new interns into our facility, adding fresh energy and new perspectives to our team.

Interns participate in a range of tasks such as:

• Packing and organizing food bags

• Applying marketing and product labels

• Stocking shelves and maintaining inventory

• Engaging directly with our unique and exotic animals under supervision

Many interns and their job coaches describe our workplace as both fascinating and welcoming—a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

Over the years, we’ve also been honored to collaborate with additional programs through Ark of Monroe, DePaul, Starbridge, and Webster Schroeder High School, as well as their affiliated internship programs at St. John Fisher University. These initiatives allow us to engage with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels, enriching our workplace and strengthening our community connections.

We strongly believe that inclusive employment opportunities benefit not just the individuals we work with, but our entire organization. By welcoming interns with diverse experiences and abilities, we foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous learning.
