As many of you know we proudly host over 16,000 followers on our Facebook page. It’s a great resource where people are able to ask questions of not just our staff but each other. It’s a fantastic place to learn about our company, our birds and what techniques we use here for Aviculture.

It is not uncommon for us to get people who are seeking to learn about keeping a pet bird. They have interest and they have desire, and to me that’s what is the most important first spark in this journey. A very common first question people will ask about birds is does this one talk? I’m here to tell you that this is a common question, it’s honestly the number one question we are asked because people are fascinated with the idea of an animal that can mimic language. I welcome all to learn about birds here, but I do want to make it clear, I also feel it’s my role as a leader of the company to ensure that no one is ever shamed for asking questions. In Yesterday someone attacked someone on our social media page for asking the most basic question. I have a zero tolerance for that. The person who attacked was removed from the page and will not be welcomed back. I want everyone to feel safe to ask questions as you can’t grow if you feel hindered to ask questions. Please know that as long as I’m here, you can and should always feel to ask anything you feel you want to learn about in this topic. We are your partners in Aviculture and that starts with creating a safe space to grow.
