Every Bird Develops Differently

In our “bird world,” we try so hard to balance the needs of each individual bird. We know the approximate time frame that most birds develop at but outliers exist in nearly every batch. It seems that every nest comes with that one special baby who just isn’t ready to leave the nest!

After having overseen the development of over 5000 babies in our nursery program, I can tell you one thing for sure; when it comes to raising baby birds, expect that one will always want more time with the formula. The great news is that, should you be one day in the process of buying a baby that wants that extra supportive feeding it doesn’t impact its health in any way. It simply means the bird is not ready to move to the next level of life. We don’t send birds home until they can sustain all aspects of life on their own. This includes eating solid foods and drinking on their own. This commitment to ensuring independence is one way we ensure you are a successful Aviculturist when you take the bird home.

Our program is closely monitored by our leadership team to ensure no bird is left behind. As a group we have our hand feeders giving weekly input on progress reports on each bird. It’s the feeders role here to ensure that if a bird requires additional support it is identified and a care plan is set for that individual bird. We utilize our internal app to monitor weights if a bird is in need of supplemental feedings and in extreme cases we even have a veterinarian who visits us weekly that we can bounce ideas off of for specific birds of concern.

Raising baby birds is truly an art. It has taken years of experience of having raised literally thousands of birds that have given us the background we needed to be truly successful. Today there are very few options in the country that can supply clients birds as well developed as ours. I say this with confidence because this company has made great strides in education of Aviculture and has worked very hard to create a state of the art facility unlike any in our country.
